It’s indeed as easy as switching on your television.

- Voor oude films moet je ed2k (edonkey) protocol doen (shareaza).
- Kazaa lite kan soms handig zijn maar wordt alleen gebruikt door echte newbies en nitwits

- Soulseek heeft een eigen decentralized zoekfunctie. Kazaa lite ook.
- Goede torrentsites zijn http://www.torrentspy.com http://www.thepiratebay.org http://www.newtorrents.info. Daar klik je op een .torrent file en dan begint het downloaden.
- ed2k kan zowel decentralized (moet je wel een serverlijst laden in je prog vanaf http://ed2k.2x4u.de/index.html) of sitebased zijn (google: list of ed2k sites). Ook het gnutella netwerk schijnt erg goed te zijn hiervoor.

Autonome computerkunst kent de laatste jaren een comeback. Mede door de voortschrijdende ontwikkeling van de hard- en software, is toegepaste en autonome computerkunst de laatste vijftien jaar tot bloei gekomen in zowel de beeldende kunst en elektronische muziek, als in de film-, video- en gamewereld. Doordat hardware en software toegankelijker en gebruiksvriendelijker zijn geworden heeft een grote groep kunstenaars bezit genomen van dit domein en is er veel nieuw werk ontwikkeld. I love wikipedia.org!!! I was looking for a list of sites which use tags. Ofcourse google would only pop-up the big companies and sites with advertisements. A quick query @ wikipedia for tag gave me this neat list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tags#Online_services_and_their_tagged_objects Probably not exhaustive, but good enough for me

Then i started wondering … how social are these ‘social network through tagging’-sites to eachother? So i started a crawl with this list as startingpoints in our beloved issuecrawler. Results when i get through the queue :p

Alright! Here is a definite must have for me: smart armour! As most of you know, I am not only a geek who likes to sit in front of his computer. I really love extreme sports like snow- and skateboarding, surfing, bmxing, parcourse, martial arts and the like – the general high-adrenaline, possibly high-impact sports. Now here is an invention that would make my mom – “you really need to lower your guts, give some to your sis” – happy and protect me for fractures and internal bleedings. I’ve just been in the hospital too many times. The new smart armour promises to be flexible in use but when it gets an impact it’ll harden, thereby protecting your body. Finally i can start practising my backflips, butterfly kicks and insane jumps again

Recently google has anounced it’ll cooperate with the Chinese government to censor it’s search results, e.g. for the dalai lama, free tibet, etc.

- google images returns different results if you are based in china or in an oncensored part of the world.

- video made by the Free Tibet people in New York, showing how google.cn shows the results

Time to take action: http://noluv4google.com/ is an initiative which wants to boycot google this valentine’s day.
